The most common areas treated with liposuction
From the abdomen to the chin, where stubborn fat collects.

Liposuction can treat fat in many areas, and knowing the common ones helps patients identify whether their concern is a good fit and how a comprehensive contour is often planned.
The abdomen and flanks (love handles) are among the most requested, where stubborn fat resists exercise and shapes the waistline. The thighs (inner and outer) and the back, including bra-line fat, are common too. The arms, particularly the upper-arm area, respond well in candidates with good skin. The submental area under the chin is a frequent and high-impact target, sharpening the jawline and profile. The neck, calves, and ankles are treated in select cases.
Often the most striking results come from treating areas in relation to one another, for instance contouring the waist, flanks, and back together to create an hourglass silhouette, rather than reducing a single spot in isolation. A skilled surgeon thinks in terms of overall proportion, sometimes harvesting the removed fat for transfer elsewhere. The practical point for patients is that liposuction is most powerful when it addresses stubborn fat in the context of the body's overall shape, and that many areas can be combined in one session within safe limits. Identifying which areas bother you, and trusting a surgeon to plan them for balanced proportion, is how the procedure delivers its best, most natural contouring.
